Wet Chemical Extinguishers

Cooking oil fires are very difficult to extinguish because of their high auto-ignition temperature. Conventional fire extinguishers do not cool oil fires sufficiently and may even cause flash back, putting the operator at risk, so a specially formulated wet chemical which, when applied to the burning liquid, cools the oil and extinguishes the flame, must be applied. A 6l wet chemical is designed to tackle fires of up to 75 litres of oil. Wet Chemical extinguishers can also be used to extinguish class A fires.

  • Capable of extinguishing a cooking oil or fat fire of up to 75 litres in size.
  • 13A fire rating for all round safety and embraces the 35 kV di-electric test.
  • EN3 red, with official canary yellow colour coding.
