Risk Assessment Competency
All of our Fire Risk Assessors have significant experience as consultants, trainers and engineers in the private sector, carrying out fire safety services including Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Safety Training. As a company we have carried out hundreds of Fire Risk Assessments on very diverse premises across a wide range of buildings including licensed premises (hotels, restaurants, bars), flats and HMOs, offices, shops, educational premises and factories and warehouses. They have extensive former experience with the Fire & Rescue Services, and are members of the Fire Prevention Association (FPA) and the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE). They regularly attend courses to ensure that their industry knowledge and skills are up-to-date and these include the PAS 79 Fire Risk Assessment Course by Colin Todd and Associates, Means of Escape – Approved Document B with the FPA and the three-day FPA Fire Risk Assessment Course specialising in the Common Areas of Residential Blocks of Flats and Housing of Multiple Occupations (HMO’s).
The Fire Industry Association (FIA) is the largest fire protection trade association in the UK. With 850+ members, they represent a significant proportion of the industry and are a major provider of fire safety training. Their main objectives are to promote, improve and perfect fire protection methods, devices, services and apparatus. They achieve this through the representation of members and provide technical support, guidance and opportunities for professional advancement through education and regulation.
All of our staff are fully DBS-checked (Disclosure Barring Service), and screened to the stringent standard of BS5878: 2012.
